Woodhaven has had its fair share of notoriety when it comes to entertainment over the years – after all, “Goodfellas” was shot in Neir’s Tavern and Mae West even graced the neighborhood watering hole.
Last Saturday, that tradition continued with “Saturday Night Live” airing a sketch that included “Girls” creator and star Lena Dunham, pictured, and becoming frustrated during a sing-a-long to the Five Stairsteps’ 1970s anthem, “Ooh Child,” as the car she is in is pictured driving in Woodhaven.
As Dunham becomes increasingly annoyed that the GPS continues to break into her singing, Queens lovers can glimpse portions of Woodhaven outside the car’s window – including the Forest Park Carousel, Woodhaven Boulevard, Myrtle Avenue, and Forest Park.
