The Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association is hosting a “Thank You to Our Vets” barbecue on Saturday, June 14 – Flag Day, and all are invited. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers, salads, and, of course, flags and families.
“We have lost so many traditions over the years, and we spend a lot of time looking at old photos and the way things were, well here is an opportunity to experience that once again,” the WRBA wrote in an announcement about the event.
Everyone is invited to the event that is free of charge. Come out, thank your neighborhood veterans, and meet neighbors.
The barbecue will be held at the American Legion Post 118, located at 89-02 91st St. in Woodhaven. It will kick off at 12 p.m.
