West Hamilton Beach Volunteer FD Marks 87 Years

The West Hamilton Beach Volunteer Fire Department last Thursday celebrated 87 years of serving the community with its annual anniversary dinner at Russo’s on the Bay. Marking the milestone, along with guest speakers Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and city Comptroller Scott Stringer, were Honorary WHBVFD Commissioner Marge Centrone (l. to r.), Roseanne Delano, widow of former WHBVFD Chief and city Firefighter Kevin Delano, Kevin Delano, Jr., and Barbara Udowitch. Plenty of first responders turned out in Howard Beach to support the historic department, including WHBVFD Capt. Steven Pasqualicchio (l.) and Mineola FD First Lt. Michael Eich.
