The All American Bagel & Barista Company opened on Saturday in the Lindenwood Shopping Plaza with crowds of well wishers stopping by to say hi to the new owners and sample some of what seems to have everyone in the community talking about. The store replaces the ill-fated Tuscany Deli which shut down several months ago.
Rob Pisani, who currently operates All American Deli and Rocco’s Pizzeria and is the former owner of Bayview Restaurant and Rock ’n’ Roll Deli, all located in Broad Channel, has brought his brand of business to the town where he was born and raised. Pisani says it won’t take anything more than a good product, a clean store and a staff that knows how to take care of customers to succeed in his newest haunt.
Pisani is partnered with brother Alex and Howard Beach native Joey Gagliardotto in this latest venture, which serves up hand-rolled bagels baked on the premises, latte’s, coffee & espresso, hot and cold hero’s, Panini’s, wraps and much more.
Mary Pretionte, who brought her 5-year-old granddaughter Lucia down for some face painting and balloon animals, says she plans to take advantage of having a quality deli ‘right next door.’
“It’s about time we had someone in here that knows what they’re doing,” the 30-year Lindenwood resident said with a smile. “Finally the type of establishment we need here. No more trips to Cross Bay Blvd. for me.”
All American Bagel & Barista Company is located in the shopping center at 82-41 153 rd Ave. and is open seven days a week. The phone number is 718-322-7722.
