A motorcyclist on Friday morning was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in serious condition after he was struck by a vehicle at Cross Bay Boulevard and Shore Parkway, according to the Fire Department.
The crash, which occurred around 6:30 a.m., snarled traffic in all directions for hours as investigators worked to determine the sequence of events and clean up the scene. Cars could be seen backed up on both sides of Cross Bay, with area side streets taking on a significant amount of vehicles into the afternoon.
