Overcast skies might have cast a grey pall on Forest Park last Saturday afternoon, but they did not dim the spirits of the hundreds of revelers who turned out for the Richmond Hill Block Association’s 42nd annual Park Fair.

Children of all ages made the exciting Super Slide a popular attraction last Saturday.

Children of all ages enjoyed games and attractions like bouncy castles and the steep-decline Super Slide, while families perused crafts tables, noshed on carnival fare, and took in performances by Eagle Taekwondo Academy, the John Bowne High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps, folk rocker Dennis Doyle, and Nightwing, a classic rock collective that focuses on tunes of the 1960s and ’70s.

“[It] was a terrific event, and I always love coming every year!” said Scott Wolff.

Among those recognized for their contributions to the Richmond Hill community at this year’s RHBA Honor Ceremony were 102nd Precinct Community Affairs Officers Jose Severino and Eddie Martinez.
