Aqueduct Racetrack last Saturday and Sunday hosted the New York Racing Association’s annual “Toys for Tots” weekend of giving. Offered in partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” Foundation, with support from thoroughbred owner Harold Lerner and the New York Thoroughbred Horseman’s Association., the weekend of giving provided racing fans the opportunity to donate new, unwrapped toys to local children in need in donation boxes located at the racetrack’s main clubhouse entrance, and the Turf and Field entrance.
State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (far r.) thanked NYRA for donating $20,000 to the cause, and the USMC” for their efforts with ’Toys for Tots,’ but more importantly for their service to our country. God Bless Them.”
