The Howard Beach nonprofit New York Families for Autistic Children on Friday quickly organized a police appreciation barbeque at its Autism Center on Cross Bay Boulevard.
Members of the 106th Precinct were served lunch as a grateful neighborhood reached out to comfort area cops hours after five Dallas police officers were murdered during a peaceful demonstration calling attention to strained law enforcement-community relations.
