World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. and the nonprofit group First Book looked to body-slam illiteracy last week by leading a Reading Celebration at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens for 350 members.

WWE Superstars Cesaro, Darren Young, Lana, Apollo Crews, Sin Cara, ring announcer JoJo, and NBC

Universo’s Yarel Ramos read “Nino Wrestles the World” to 200 club members in grades K-5. The Superstars also participated in a question and answer session with 150 middle- and high-school members.

Additionally, WWE donated 1,000 books to the Richmond Hill club.

“I want to thank WWE and First Book for this incredible opportunity,” said John DeCristoforo, chief executive officer of the Atlantic Avenue BGCMQ. “The event was a tremendous success and most importantly, the kids had an amazing experience. I also want to thank the WWE Superstars for taking time out of their schedules to visit the Club and for delivering such positive and inspiring messages to our kids. It was a great way to end our Summer Camp program.”
