Hi My name is Shadow and I was found running around JFK Airport near the runway on Halloween Day.
Since then I have been living with a really great family who loves me a lot. They took me to Just Pawfection and got me a bath, had my nails clipped and I even got a bandana to wear.
Then they took me to the vet and they got me all my shots because they wanted to make sure I would not get sick.
I am a really good boy, about 1 1/2 years old. I am completely housebroken and I know a lot of my obedience commands really well.
The problem is that this family who gave me a temporary home, already has two dogs they even sent one of their own dogs to live with a family member but she can’t keep him there any more because he’s a really big boy and he needs his yard and stuff back.
If you would just give me a chance I know you would really like me. I am a purebred Border Collie and I was real expensive.
I am very smart–my breed is the most intelligent of all dogs. I am very, very loyal and I love kids. In fact there’s one who lives here now. She’s 5 and she likes to pull my tail sometimes, but I don’t mind because she also lets me kiss her and lay next to her bed at night.
I don’t take up too much space and I’m only gonna be 45 pounds. I love to run and I am a great frisbee player.
