Basil was last seen on Saturday in Ozone Park.

City Police Department investigators on Monday issued a Silver Alert and reached out to the public for help in locating a missing South Ozone Park man.
According to NYPD reports, Sankar Basil, 69, was last seen on Saturday, Aug. 19, at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Pitkin Avenue and 76th Street in Ozone Park. He is described as an Asian man, roughly 5-foot-7, weighing 170 pounds, with brown eyes; last seen wearing a white pinstriped shirt, blue baseball cap and black pants.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, (888) 57-PISTA (74782).
