Creepy Crook Steals from Ozone Park Pads

Police believe the most recent burglary occurred on Sept. 4 in a residence near 86th Street and Pitkin Avenue.

A brazen burglar has been plundering Ozone Park homes in the middle of the night—even as unsuspecting victims sleep just a few feet away, according to police and a published report.

The thief is wanted in connection with five residential break-ins between July 22 and Sept. 4. According to NBC 4 New York, the suspect gains access into the houses via unlocked rear doors or windows, often in the overnight or early morning hours, and steals cash and other valuables.

The locations and dates of the incidents are: 133rd Avenue and 84th Street (July 22); 133rd Avenue and 83rd Street (Aug. 2); 79th Street and Pitkin Avenue (Aug. 18); 84th Street and 108th Avenue (Sept. 1); and 86th Street and Pitkin Avenue (Sept. 4).
