Area authorities recently reached out to the public for help in identifying an enterprising mail thief.
According to the 106th Precinct Detective Squad, on March 12, the pictured perpetrator entered a Bank of America in Wilmington, Del. and deposited a re-written check in the amount of $11,000. The original check was “fished out” of a mail box located at the corner of 112th Street and Liberty Avenue in South Richmond Hill, cops noted.
