State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach) is set to host a free Columbus Day celebration this weekend in the heart of Howard Beach.
The festivities are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6, 1 p.m.-3 .p.m., at Our Lady of Grace Church hall located at 100-05 159th St.
According to Addabbo, during the party there will be refreshments, entertainment, as well as free face-painting and giveaways for kids. Live music will be provided by Vittorio Di Carlo “The Graceful Tenor,” who will be singing Italian classics.
“For me, Columbus Day has always been a time to celebrate my Italian American heritage, and it is the same for many of my constituents,” Addabbo added.
