Responding to recent public safety concerns, civic leaders, elected officials, and members of the de Blasio administration on Thursday joined the new commanding officer of the 106th Precinct, Capt. John Costello (r.), on a walk-through of sections of Liberty Avenue.
The field response allowed cops and community leaders, including Community Board 10 Chairwoman Betty Braton (l.) and State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach; second from l.) to work with reps from the City Department of Transportation on an on-site plan to improve lighting conditions along the Ozone Park thoroughfare.
