State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach) recently visited the Cross Bay Seashell Fish Market in Howard Beach to pardon a lobster in commemoration of the first landing of the Mayflower in Provincetown Harbor in Massachusetts.
It is widely known that the pilgrims ate lobster—not turkey—at the first Thanksgiving. Pat Marotta, co-owner of the seafood market on Cross Bay Boulevard near 161st Avenue, helped Addabbo come to the rescue of the crustacean.
