Richmond Hill community leaders this week organized an online fundraiser for families impacted by Thursday’s six-alarm fire on Jamaica Avenue and 109th Street.
Romeo Hitlall, president of the Richmond Hill-South Ozone Park Lions Club, and Assemblywoman-Elect Jenifer Rajkumar (D-Woodhaven) have started a GoFundMe page for the 48 affected residents.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the campaign has raised nearly $4,000 of the $55,000 stated goal.
