Hundreds Recycle Electronics at Forest Park

Earlier this month, State Sen. Joe Addabbo, Jr. (D-Howard Beach), Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar (D-Woodhaven), and Councilman Bob Holden (D-Middle Village) helped usher in over 150 cars to the Forest Park Bandshell Parking Lot to recycle their electronics. Participants were able to properly recycle computer monitors, televisions, keyboards, and other devices to keep those materials and components out of landfills.

Additionally, Addabbo said, if anyone wasn’t able to make it to Forest Park event, Addabbo’s Middle Village and Howard Beach offices are acting as e-waste drop off locations for the DSNY e-cycle NYC program. Just bring your small electronic devices (laptops, computer monitors, cell phones, small televisions) to one of the offices on any weekday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and they will be properly recycled.
