A roving band of thugs has been taking over Ozone Park streets, leaving the South Queens community “under siege,” according to the Ozone Park Residents Block Association.
The latest incident occurred on Saturday night when the unruly gang “took over Rockaway Boulevard between 83rd and 84th streets,” taunting residents, business owners and even challenging cops.

“This has been a worsening trend over the past five years, with each incident growing in scale and audacity,” the civic wrote in a letter to Mayor Eric Adams and area elected officials.
Indeed, the Cityline Ozone Park Civilian Patrol said last weekend’s street takeover saw an escalation in aggression. The City Police Department said the individuals pictured on the front page of this edition of The Forum and in this story are now wanted for the crimes of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief for “recklessly operated multiple vehicles and vandalized three NYPD vehicles.”
COPCP spokesman Daniel Hill said, “This isn’t just happening here. It’s happening across New York City. And in many cases, it’s the same group showing up again and again. They’ve faced arrests, summonses, vehicle impoundments. Some have even lost friends to the very stunts they’re out there doing. And still, they come back. It’s clear: they do not care.”
Hill added that if you see one of these gatherings forming, call 911 immediately. You can also advise COPCP via text or call at (646) 851-0885.
