A body was discovered late last Friday night in an unspecified section of Forest Park, according to police and published reports.
First responders pronounced the unidentified man dead at the scene around 10 p.m.
“The cause and manner of death are pending further studies,” said Julie Bolcer, spokeswoman for the city Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
This is the second corpse discovered in the 544-acre park in less than five months.
In June, the brutally-bludgeoned body of 23-year-old Diego Piedrahita was spotted in a remote part of the popular green space. Zoltan Forai, 44, also known as Steven Forai, a borough native who is homeless, has been charged with the murder.
According to the criminal complaint, Forai and Piedrahita were acquaintances. Forai allegedly kicked Piedrahita in his head and body and then used a rock to strike him multiple times in his face and head.
