Thieves have Struck Three Apartments in Kew Gardens, Richmond Hill: Cops

This is one of two suspects that 102nd Precinct detectives are looking to question in connection with three recent borough burglaries.

Investigators with the 102nd Precinct Detective Squad on Thursday reached out to the public for help in tracking down two suspects allegedly responsible for a rash of recent residential burglaries in Kew Gardens and Richmond Hill.
According to police reports, on Saturday, Sept. 30, around 11:30 a.m., the two men “used an unknown object” to gain entry to an apartment of a building in the vicinity of Kew Gardens Road and 82nd Avenue in Kew Gardens. Once inside the residence, the suspects removed $2,000 in cash and $7,205 worth of jewelry, luxury clothing items, and electronic devices. The men then fled the location to parts unknown, cops said.
The second and third burglaries occurred on Oct. 2. On that Monday morning, around 8 a.m., the suspects once again used an unknown object to enter an apartment in a residential building located near 136th Street and Kew Gardens Road in Richmond Hill. Once inside, the men stole approximately $25,000 in jewelry and $1,400 in electronics. They then fled the building to parts unknown.
And roughly 15 hours, at approximately 11 p.m., the suspects broke into an apartment in the vicinity of Brevoort Street and Metropolitan Avenue in Kew Gardens. The men made off with $300 and various forms of identification before fleeing to parts unknown.
Suspect 1 is described as a man with a medium complexion, approximately 25-30 years of age, last seen wearing a gray shirt, and black-and-white baseball cap.
Suspect 2 is described as a man with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a red baseball cap, dark-colored jeans and a gray sweatshirt.
