Looking Back 2011 – Year in Review

The passage of 2011 has brought us to the threshold of yet another year– our 35th year of publication. Looking ahead we wonder what changes will shape 2012. How will our community be affected by the political climate? Will our quality of life issues be successfully addressed by local legislators and law enforcement or will cuts continue to erode our services? Will our elected officials bring enough money to their districts to bring about improvements and change in addition to maintaining vital service programs for seniors and youth?

We can only speculate, but no matter what happens, The Forum will be here covering your backs and your backyards.

We thank you for making us your first choice as a local news service. We know by your letters and phone calls and by your response to our newspaper that The Forum is an integral part of each individual community it serves.

You can count on us to be there in good times and bad, to bring you the truth, leave behind the sensationalism and always behave responsibly with what goes on in our neighborhoods. This is what we see as the definition of a community newspaper.

We pride ourselves on bringing you the local news and the larger issues that affect us all to your doors, free of charge, every week.

We hope you enjoy looking back at the year that is moving behind us and look forward to letting us deliver the news that matters most to you in 2012.
