Teen Parents Die After Queens Village Man’s Car Crashes On Grand Central

A Queens Village man has been charged with manslaughter after he allegedly lost control of his car on the Grand Central Parkway Saturday night, causing his friends, two teen parents, to be thrown from the back seat and killed, police said.

Madosh Hansraj, 20, was also charged with felony assault, criminally negligent homicide, illegal speed, speeding and driving while ability impaired after he allegedly downed a couple beers at Michael’s Side Pocket bar in Richmond Hill and proceeded to crash his 1996 Honda, filled with five passengers, into a guardrail on the expressway near 188th Street in Jamaica Estates around 4 a.m., according to police.

Meera Dukharan, 17, and Anil Persaud, 18, died after being thrown from the car, leaving behind a 14-month-old daughter, police said. The other passengers were brought to New York Hospital Queens in serious condition, police said.

Dukharan and Persaud were buried together at a Forest Hills cemetery on Wednesday.
