Eric Ulrich was joined by nearly 100 supporters on Saturday morning to launch the official opening of his campaign headquarters in Howard Beach.
Among those who joined Ulrich were Republican mayoral hopeful, Joe Lhota and Craig Caruana who is running for the City Council seat in nearby District 30 along with former congressman Bob Turner.
Ulrich praised his district for its resiliency and determination in rebuilding after the devastating toll taken by Hurricane Sandy and pledged to continue to do whatever was necessary to return the areas so affected by the storm back to normal. Serving the people who elected him, he told reporters afterward, has been an “honor and a privilege never to be forgotten.”
Supporters touted the incumbent councilman for what they termed the “stellar representation” of his constituency and vowed to return him to office for the next four years.
Among the family and friends present was an even younger Ulrich than the candidate himself–daughter Lily. Clearly if the race were between the two Ulrich’s, Lily would give her dad a serious run for his money.
The office is located at 162-38 Cross Bay Boulevard.
