Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a Howard Beach man.

20-year-old Joshua Basin was killed when a subway hit him last week after a scuffle ended with him on the tracks of the L Train in Williamsburg.

Now in custody, 33-year-old Ryan Beauchamp, allegedly fought with Basin and fled from the scene.

As of press time, Beauchamp was awaiting arraignment at the Brooklyn Criminal Court.

According to police, the March 23 incident started at 10 p.m. on the L Train when Basin and Beauchamp got into a verbal altercation.

When they left the subway car at the Bedford Avenue Station, they got into a physical fight and fell onto the tracks.

As another train approached, the suspect climbed out of the track bed and fled, police said.

Basin was left there and as he struggled to climb out, a northbound L Train hit him, causing serious trauma to his body.

He was transported to Bellevue Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival.

Basin, lived on 76th Street in Howard Beach.

Police are still hunting for Beauchamp.

They originally released a description and sketch on Saturday, saying they were looking for a white male around 30 years old with a thin build, light complexion, dirty blond hair and pock marks on the side of his face.

As the investigation continued, police located surveillance video of the suspect and tracked down a photo and name, eventually leading to Beauchamp.
