Police are searching for a man who robbed three convenience stores at gunpoint in May including a gas station in Howard Beach and a deli in Ozone Park.
They are also asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect.
Cops say he started by hitting two locations the morning of May 21.
At about 9:04 a.m., the unidentified man walked into a Getty gas station Food Mart at 78-01 Linden Boulevard.
There he approached a 38-year-old employee, showed him a gun and fled with cigarettes and an unknown amount of cash, according to police.
Less than an hour later, the suspect entered an IVB Deli 115-01 Farmers Blvd., in St. Albans at about 9:50 a.m., approached an employee and demanded money.
Police say the robber then struck the employee in the head—causing a cut—and fled with more cash and cigarettes.
The latest robbery was two days later on May 23 at about 7:30 p.m., police said.
The same suspect entered Liberty Deli, at 1090 Liberty Ave. in Ozone Park, approached a 32-year-old employee, displayed a gun and once again demanded money.
He fled with cigarettes and an unknown amount of cash police said.
Police say the suspect is a black male, about 30 years old. He is between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall, and about 175 pounds.
