On Sunday, August 12, Ridgewood hosted its annual Myrtle Avenue Festival. The festival, which took place between Fresh Pond Road and Forest Avenue, featured a wide variety of activities for kids which included two bouncy castles, an inflatable slide and the popular seesaw Godzilla ride. Vendors at the event sold jewelry, clothing, and food while the crowd remained entertained with live music.

Among some of the major sponsors include The Brooklyn Nets, The Daily News, the FDNY, The New York Lottery and Joe Fuoco’s Music Center. The Brooklyn Nets drew in a large crowd with their basketball hoop and authentic NBA products for sale. The FDNY also drew in a large crowd, handing out fire safety pamphlets and coloring books for children.
