September 11 Memorial Services In Queens

Tuesday, September 11, will mark the eleventh year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Queens will be hosting a variety of memorial events to remember the friends, family and neighbors that were lost on 9/11.

Maspeth Federal Bank September 8, 2012 – 11:00 a.m. Maspeth Memorial Triangle at 69 Street and Grand Avenue.

Remember Me Run at St. Michael’s Cemetery September 8, 2012 – 2:00 p.m. $25/ Children 10 & under are free 72-02 Astoria Boulevard, East Elmhurst.

Glendale Candlelight Vigil Sunday, September 9, 2012 1:00 p.m. 9/11 Memorial Garden Forest Park Dry Harbor Playground Myrtle Avenue & 80th Street, Glendale. A candlelight vigil will be held for the 42 community members who died during the September 11 attacks.

Geeta Mandir & Cultural Center 9/11 Ceremony Starlire Pavallion September 9th at 2:00PM- 130-05 101 Avenue Richmond Hill NY.

School for Construction Trades September 11th at 10:00AM-High or the park at 106th Street and Atlantic Avenue.

Ozone Tudor Civic Association September 11th at 7:00PM-at Addabbo Playground.

Candlelight Ceremony at Remsen Memorial Park September 11, 2012 – 6:30 p.m. Rain location: American Legion Hall 107-15 Metropolitan Avenue.

Bayside Hills Civic Association 9/11 Ceremony September 11, 2012 – 7:00 p.m. Bell Boulevard and L.I.E Service Road.

9/11 Candlelight Vigil Committee of Queens September 11, 2012 – 7:30 p.m. The new memorial at Juniper Valley Park at 78th Street Bring a candle and a chair.

Central Public Library 9/11 Tribute September 11, 2012 4:30 p.m. 89-11 Merrick Boulevard, Jamaica.

Pomonok Public Library September 11, 2012 4:00 p.m. 158-21 Jewel Avenue, Flushing.

United Civic Association and Port Authority of NY and NJ September 12, 2012 7:30 p.m. McManus Memorial Park 81 Street and Grand Central Service Road Astoria Heights. Candles will be supplied.
