Breezy Point resident Thomas Sullivan, a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve who served two tours in Iraq, was honored by the Mets at Citi Field during Saturday’s game.
Sullivan received a standing ovation and was presented with an American flag by former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords immediately following the third inning. Councilman Eric Ulrich also participated in the ceremony honoring Sullivan.
