Two Men Indicted for Forcing Teen into Prostitution

A grand jury last week indicted a Queens man and a Brooklyn man on multiple counts of sex trafficking, kidnapping, promoting prostitution and other charges for allegedly holding a 15-year-old borough girl against her will and forcing her to have sex with men for money, according to Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

Terron Morancis, 29, of St. Albans, and Quindell Hill, 33, of East New York were arraigned last Wednesday on a 19-count indictment charging them each with first-degree kidnapping, second-degree promoting prostitution, sex trafficking and other crimes. Morancis is additionally charged with third-degree criminal sex act and failure to register or verify as a sex offender. Bail was set at $750,000 for Morancis and $500,000 for Hill.

According to the charges, the victim met Morancis on or about May 13 of this year in St. Albans, and from that point on he and Hill held the 15-year-old against her will until she escaped a week later. While being held, Morancis allegedly took racy photographs of the girl and posted them on a website advertising her as a prostitute.

Over the course of her confinement, Morancis allegedly forced the victim to perform oral sex on him and she was forced to have sex dates with various men in both Queens and Brooklyn for money. The teenager managed to get away from the men briefly and call her mother, who in turn called police and they were able to locate the teenager.

The defendants’ next court date is Jan. 1, and they both face up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted.
