A woman was killed and nine others—including seven children on their way to school—were injured on Tuesday morning in a violent three-car crash in South Ozone Park.
A sport utility vehicle carrying the kids smashed into another car at South Conduit Avenue and 130th Street, cops said. The impact thrust the car in front of a box truck which then nearly crushed the sedan.
The car’s passenger, Carmen Gonzalez, 53, was pronounced dead on arrival at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. The driver was listed in stable condition.
The truck driver was treated for trauma at the scene. The driver of the SUV and its passengers were taken to area hospitals.
No arrests have been made and police were still investigating the accident.
