The city Police Department took to Twitter this week to ask for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted for robbing the Hilton Garden Inn in South Ozone Park on two occasions.

In the first incident, on March 30, the suspect approached the front desk of the 134th Street hotel around 6:45 p.m., handed the worker a note claiming that he had a gun and demanded money. The suspect fled on foot with $500, cops said.

On Sept. 6, around 10:40 p.m., the suspect entered the Inn, and just like the March robbery, he passed a clerk the same note indicating that he was armed and demanded money. The perpetrator made off with $900, according to investigators.

The suspect is described as a black man who was last seen wearing white sneakers and blue jeans.

Anyone with information regarding these incidents are asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at (800) 577-TIPS.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website: NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577.

The NYPD Crime Stoppers Program, which began in 1983, offers rewards up to $2,000 for anonymous information provided to the hotline or website that leads to the arrest and indictment of a violent felon.

As of July 2014, Crime Stoppers has issued nearly $1.9 million in rewards; tips have helped solve nearly 1,500 murders and attempted murders; and 3,400 suspects have been arrested as a direct result of the program.
