The application deadline for residents interested in serving on one of Queens’ 14 community boards has been extended to Friday, March 13, from Jan. 31., Acting Borough President Sharon Lee announced Tuesday.
As Lee noted, the boards hold monthly membership meetings, as well as hearings and issue recommendations about the City budget, municipal service delivery and numerous other matters that impact their communities.
The application is available at queensbp.org/community-boards. Interested applicants must submit their completed, signed, and notarized applications to the borough president’s office at 120-55 Queens Blvd., Kew Gardens, NY 11424.
