Amidst the seemingly endless—and, according to many straphangers and elected officials, accurate—reams of poor press clippings are diamonds of positive notes about the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
City Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R-Ozone Park) on Thursday described the latest nice nugget:
“This morning the MTA were real life superheroes when one of our constituents left their iPhone on the bus on the way to school. They reached out to our office and we contacted the MTA who got in touch with their road ops team who saved the day. Dad picked up the phone from the team member who recovered it. Thank you MTA!”
