South Queens investigators recently reached out to the public for help in identifying a not-so-slick-fingered pickpocket who mugged a man earlier this summer as he exited a Forest Hills subway station.
According to police reports, on Sunday, July 9, around 11:20 a.m., the suspect reached into the victim’s pocket and removed his wallet, which contained multiple credit cards, as he walked up the stairs to leave the station at 67th Avenue and Queens Boulevard.
The victim, 69, struggled with the suspect, described as a “dark-skinned black man,” before the crook fled on foot “to parts unknown,” cops noted. No injuries were reported.
